Cachalot
Proof Living is an authorised dealer. Purchasing through parallel importers can void warranty, installation and after-sales support.
The crystal-clear sperm whale, which can be expressed only with highly pure acrylic, shines naturally in the bright sunlight during the daytime and gently accompanies people in their daily lives.
This is not a transient phenomenon, but the essence of Ambientec, a proof of pure beauty born from careful craftsmanship and selection of materials for "long-lasting use" as with other products.

Meet The Designer
Yoshiki Matsuyama
When Japanese lighting brand Ambientec asked Yoshiki Matsuyama to design a new portable lamp with a “creature motif” amidst the chaos of the Corona disaster, the designer wished to wrap the world in serenity. The image of the soothing sperm whale swimming leisurely in the vast ocean came to his mind.
"As if the presence of the single whale in the dark cold ocean surrounded by silence, can bring calmness and warmth to the heart. As if the passing of time itself has slowly changed. "Cachalot" is a sculptural lighting object that draws inspiration from the formative elements in nature." - Yoshiki Matsuyama, Designer.

Know The Brand
Ambientec
The Japanese light design company was founded in 2009. Founder and CEO Yoshinori Kuno had previously created AOI Japan Co., Ltd. in 1999, specializing in the production of protective underwater cases for professional photography equipment.
Ambientec was created to explore new frontiers in portable lighting for everyday spaces: from outdoors to the bath, from the home to the elegant café.
High-quality components and a refined design come together to create inimitable products. Driven by experience in underwater photography gear, Ambientec’s portable, rechargeable and waterproof lamps are made with masterful precision in ultra-sturdy materials that make them - in terms of both style and durability - indestructible.
