Mamy Blue could be described as an armchair for meditation. Designed for relaxing and reading, its curved, agile forms are enhanced by the clever use of the materials. The Mamy Blue armchair by Roberto Lazzeroni has a dynamic, sophisticated and timeless design. The perfect element to create your own personal corner in a living room or study.
For the Mamy Blue armchair, the backrest structure is in moulded polyurethane foam. The spring system of the seat, in seasoned beechwood, consists of hand-tied steel biconical springs attached to jute belts. It can be upholstered entirely in Pelle Frau® leather or in many other combinations of saddle-leather, leather and fabric. The combination of various materials is enhanced by elegant visible contrast stitching. The soft head rest, padded with polyurethane foam and goose down, does not need to be fastened in place but simply placed on the backrest where it can be positioned as desired thanks to the counterbalance inserted internally. Mamy Blue has a 4-foot solid ash base, also in the swivel armchair version.

Noted for their exhaustive quality standards, the company uses a 21-step leather tanning process (vs. industry standard ranging from 12-15 steps) where the full-grain leather is dyed through, so a surface scratch won’t reveal a lining underneath. 95% of Poltrona Frau’s products are made by hand.
The Pelle Frau® leather tanning processes are exclusively combined with chrome treatments, which guarantee greater chemical and biological stability, to preserve the softness and flexibility of the leathers. Selected and produced by the finest quality Italian tanneries, Pelle Frau® leather is only “admitted” to the production process after it has passed a series of tests in the Poltrona Frau laboratories: from sensory tests to evaluate its hand, touch, colour, appearance and choice, to physical and mechanical tests that guarantee its impermeability, breathability and resistance to rubbing and stains.
