The seat is welcoming and comfortable. The back acquires new elasticity. The legs, slim and sleek, fit perfectly with the shell. Steel structure with moulded polyurethane foam padding. Elastic belts for the seat and backrest spring system. The feet come with three different finishes: ash veneer with a teak stain, lacquered black or polished chrome. Letizia can be upholstered in Pelle FrauĀ® leather or removable fabric.

Meet The Designer
Gastone Rinaldi
In 1952, he attended the XXX Milano Fair in the section curated by Alberto Rosselli, Ettore Sottsass and Marco Zanuso. The armchairs for the Piccolo theatre of Milan followed, with Zanuso. In 1954, he won the Compasso dāOro for the chair DU30. He participated with Ponti, Parisi, De Carli and Gardella in the American adventure of Altamira, one of the first companies across the ocean to call Italian designers. He therefore worked with Carlo Mollino on the chairs for the Molinette Hospital of Turin. In 1957, the armchair DU41 won the silver medal at the XI Triennial. However the internal relations within RIMA became complex and in 1974 Rinaldi established Thema. In 1978, he obtained a nomination for the Compasso dāOro for the armchair Arianna and in 1981 another for the folding chair Dafne. Thema closed in 1989, Gastone Rinaldi died in Padua on 02 March 2006.

The Pelle FrauĀ® leather tanning processes are exclusively combined with chrome treatments, which guarantee greater chemical and biological stability, to preserve the softness and flexibility of the leathers. Selected and produced by the finest quality Italian tanneries, Pelle FrauĀ® leather is only āadmittedā to the production process after it has passed a series of tests in the Poltrona Frau laboratories: from sensory tests to evaluate its hand, touch, colour, appearance and choice, to physical and mechanical tests that guarantee its impermeability, breathability and resistance to rubbing and stains.
