Random
A feather-light blown glass pendant lamp, Random is composed of three or five spherical diffusers of different sizes that form a simple, lively entity. Each diffuser is equipped with an LED light source that provides a warm glow. Grouped in clusters, the Random lamps create poetic compositions like soap bubbles, enriched with character and originality by the different finishes.
Designed by Chia-Ying Lee, Random evokes a group of bubbles dancing playfully in the wind. Random translates the evanescence of the bubble into a blown glass whose perfect, regular surface is resistant to temperature changes. Fine metal cables support the three spheres with diameters of 18, 14, and 12 cm. A thin metal cylinder houses the cables of the individual spheres and creates a cluster of lights, while the driver must now be housed in the ceiling rose.
Suspended from the power cable, Random emits a warm, diffused light with a warmer (2700 K) or cooler (3000 K) color temperature, emitted by three 1 W LEDs, one for each of the three blown glass spheres. The LED source is positioned in a silicone housing in the upper part of the lamp. The color rendering index (CRI) of 90 faithfully reproduces the natural color of objects.
Random's innately playful nature gives rise to real luminous emotions. It can be used alone to illuminate a table, or in cluster compositions to bring larger living spaces to life. With the seven available colors, Random interprets the concept of randomness in a creative and fun way.
